The children bounced into school today, well rested after a long weekend with lots of stories to tell. The teaching staff spent Friday looking at Maths. This week we commence a 2 week focus on Problem Solving in the Year 4 Maths rotations.
It is Nicole's last day of teaching in this placement. She does return in October. The children are busily trying to finish off their Dreamtime Stories.
I had the pleasure of dining at Charcoal Lane on Saturday and the food was AMAZING! Strongly recommend it for adults. I sampled a tasting plate that had: Kangaroo salami, Possum sausage, emu, smoked trout, goat's cheese ravioli and dukkah. I had gnocchi and my friend had emu. We shared 2 desserts! The Dessert lime and coconut Panna Cotta was an absolute taste sensation.
The children will be busy putting together their portfolios to come home with their reports during the last week of this Term.

This week ~ June 1st
Congratulations to Arsenal on winning the FA Cup! I know Oli and his family and a friend or 2 of mine were very excited and weary after watching the game in the wee hours of Sunday morning!!! We have had our second session on Cybersafety this morning. There is a parent session tomorrow evening, it would be great if you could attend especially as we are part of a 1:1 program.
Swimming is going swimmingly! The children certainly are working hard during the lessons. Thank you for your support with this valuable part of our PE program.
We are exploring Indigenous Food and I stumbled upon the most amazing restaurant on Saturday in Getrude Street Fitzroy called Charcoal Lane. The menu looks sensational and Im hoping to dine there over the weekend. I have sourced some food items from outbackchef and look forward to sampling these.
Friday is a Curriculum Day at OOPS. The teaching staff are focusing on Numeracy on this day. Lunch is being provided by Miss Peppercorn. I'm looking forward to sampling a variety of food! Enjoy your 4 day weekend!
